Research Trial for Moderate to Severe Eczema (81 Weeks)
Study Summary
Who Can Participate?
Adults aged 18+ with moderate to severe eczema (atopic dermatitis) may be eligible to participate.
Inclusion Criteria
- Chronic eczema with symptoms for at least 1 year
- Eczema affecting an area equal to 10 hand prints or more
- Tried eczema treatments in the last 6 months (topical) or 12 months (systemic) that were not effective or couldn’t continue using
Participant Information
- No cost to participate or receive study treatment
- Regular visits with study doctors who specialise in treating eczema (15 visits)
- Will receive either an investigative subcutaneous injection treatment (study drug) or a placebo
- Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided
How Long Will The Study Last?
- Participation will last about 81 weeks and involve about 15 visits to the study research site,
Note: Participants will need to stop all other treatments for eczema (i.e. systemic or topical medications) that could affect eczema evaluations during clinical trial participation.
Note: The investigational treatment has not been approved by Health Canada for eczema
