Clinical Trials for Adults with Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema)

Study Summary

Who can participate?

Adults 18 years of age or older with a moderate-to-severe Atopic Dermatitis (AD) – Eczema are needed for this clinical trial.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Have a physician-confirmed chronic AD for at least 6 months prior to study screening.
  • Have AD lesions covering 10%* or more of body surface area (BSA)
  • Previously had inadequate response to treatment with topical medications or documented reason why topical treatments are considered medically inappropriate.

* 1% of your body surface area is roughly equal to the palm of your hand (no wrists or fingers)

What are the benefits?

As a participation in our research trial, you will receive an investigational treatment (active study drug) or placebo via injection at no cost. All study-related assessments will also be provided at no charge. In addition, you may also be eligible for reimbursement of study-related expenses.

How long will the study last?

  • 76 weeks and involves 11 visits to the study centre.

Registration is not required for use of ResearchTrials.com. Anyone can visit the site and read our content. When visitors fill out the “contact us” section of ResearchTrials.com the following Personal Information is collected:

Probity collects your Personal Information for the following purposes (the “Purposes”):

to identify you;
to contact you about clinical research studies;
to enable a clinical research site in your area to contact you;
to confirm if your registration on ResearchTrials.com resulted in enrollment in any clinical trial, as well as the specific clinical trial(s) you enrolled in;
to ensure that we are achieving our goal of aiding enrollment in clinical trials;
to protect us both against error and fraud; and
to comply with legal requirements.

For Patients, the information you submit on ResearchTrials.com will be used for the above purposes. Because the clinical research sites are located in different countries, your personal information may be transmitted to your nearest research site (or research site you selected).

That research site may be in a different country than the location of the ResearchTrials.com database.

For Sponsors and Physicians, the information you submit on ResearchTrials.com will be used to contact you.

Personal Information will not be sold or rented and will not be exchanged with unaffiliated entities, except to fulfill the Purposes set out above, unless you are first notified and expressly consent to such transfer. Probity will seek to ensure that any third parties it shares your information with also comply with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Safeguarding Personal Information

Probity is aware of your concern for privacy when using ResearchTrials.com. Probity takes reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information as you transmit your information from your computer to our websites and to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. All information transmitted to our website is secured using industry standard physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to secure data against foreseeable risks such as unauthorized use, access, disclosure, destruction, and modification. Access to Records and Other Information

Patients, Physicians and Sponsors have a right of access to their own Personal Information in a record that is in the custody or under the control of Probity, subject to some exceptions set out in applicable legislation. For example, organizations are required under PIPEDA to refuse to provide access to information that would reveal Personal Information about another individual. Further, organizations are authorized under PIPEDA to refuse access to Personal Information if disclosure would reveal confidential business information. Access may also be refused if the information is privileged or the information was generated in the course of a formal dispute resolution process.

If access is refused, in whole or in part, Probity will provide the reasons for the refusal. In cases where exceptions to access apply, Probity may withhold that information but will provide you with the remainder of the record.

IP Address

The ResearchTrials.com web server captures the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of each connection to the website and the specific web pages visited during that connection. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider so you can access the Internet and is generally considered to be non-personally identifiable information because in most cases it changes each time you connect to the Internet. IP addresses may be used to diagnose problems with our server, report aggregate information, determine the fastest route for your computer to use in connecting to the website, and administer and improve the website. Although the IP address and related information collected is stored in the server log files, no individual is authorized to access those files for any purpose other than system maintenance. We may also use this information to help improve our websites and our services by better understanding our audience.
