Kid’s Alopecia Study (29 Weeks)

Study Summary

Who Can Participate?
Children aged 6 to less than 12 with severe Alopecia Areata may participate.

Inclusion Criteria

  • have a diagnosis of AA with at least 50% scalp hair loss due to it
  • have no evidence of terminal hair regrowth within the previous 12 months.
  • Documented evidence of having received varicella vaccination (2 doses), OR evidence of prior exposure to VZV based on serological testing (i.e., a positive VZV IgG Ab result)

Participant Information

  • Participate and receive study treatment at no cost
  • Regular visits with study doctors who specialise in treating alopecia areata (8 visits)
  • Will receive either an investigative oral treatment (study drug) or a placebo
  • Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided
