Skin Care West is a dermatology clinic in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.   We serve a 600,000 patient population with a focus on medical and surgical dermatological conditions.  These include all age groups, a diverse patient origin and many indigenous communities.  95% of our patient encounters are for referred medical concerns and include a broad array of conditions with particular focus on inflammatory skin disorders offering modern therapeutics.  Another strength of our group is skin cancer management.  We have been involved in dermatology research for over 10 years.  Our current modern and spacious clinic opened in 2020. The medical team includes three dermatologists and four family doctors with focused practice in skin diagnoses.  Our committed support staff includes a nurse, research coordinator, phototherapy staff and receptionists.  Skin Care West values collaboration, education and excellence in patient care.
