Dr. Prajapati completed his dermatology residency at the University of Alberta, earning certification in both Canada and the United States. He then pursued an additional 1-year fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Prajapati has received 20 major awards at the regional and national level; authored 1 textbook chapter; published 76 peer-reviewed manuscripts in scientific journals; and presented 114 abstracts at scientific congresses regionally, nationally, as well as internationally. He also conducts clinical trials for both adults and children, with participation in 105 studies as an investigator and/or member of the global data monitoring or steering committee.

Dr. Prajapati is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Calgary as well as co-founder and co-director of Skin Health & Wellness Centre, Dermphi Centre, Dermphi Shop, Dermatology Research Institute, and Dermatology Learning Institute. He is also a Councilor for the International Psoriasis Council. His practice focuses exclusively on skin cancer and immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia areata, hidradenitis suppurativa, and vitiligo.
